Arctic Eskimo dogs are specialized animals bred to withstand harsh winters and spartan living conditions. They sleep curled in a tight ball on packed snow or ice and are fed frozen meat. No one knows for sure why the polar bears befriend the dogs and spend their time playing and resting with them.
