I've been messing around with making post bases that could be used as mailboxes, sign posts, light mounts, driveway/ walkway markers, bird feeder or planter mounts, barriers, etc.

A plain concrete base is $75, painted is about $90, and rocks are about $125. The mailbox itself is extra.

The tallest wooden posts in the pics are about 41" tall, which is the minimum USPS mailbox height requirement.
