Crested Butte Mountain Resort has multiple openings in our Lodging Maintenance Department. We are looking for Full and Part time employees to begin work immediately. Pay is based on experience ranging from entry level- experienced tradesmen.

Entry Level Maintenance Technicians. Are you interested in learning trade skills like plumbing, carpentry, electrical work, and HVAC systems but have little or no experience? Assistant Maintenance Manager - Full Time Year Round

Summary: This position will assist the Manager will all aspects of the Hotel/Condo/ Properties maintenance department insuring high standards and fiscal responsibility. The successful candidate will develop leadership skills by working with manager to set up/ schedule preventative and corrective maintenance for all units and properties, assist in paperwork processing, employee scheduling, and supervision and training of seasonal maintenance techs.

Responsibilities:
•Assist manager with HOA financial budgets and projects as well as departmental operating budgets.
•Assist in selection and training of seasonal staff.
•Interact with owners and guests in a professionally and efficient manner.
•Maintain and operate pools and spas as well as related equipment.
•Maintain building water systems including but not limited to: boilers, fire sprinklers, toilets and sinks.
•Maintain building lighting systems such as incandescent and fluorescent lights, timers, and any emergency requests.
•Perform carpentry repairs like drywall, ceiling and roof issues.
•Respond to and investigate fire alarms, vandalism, and misuse of facilities.
•Complete proper documentation of all maintenance task performed.

Job Requirements:
•Three to five years past experience in property maintenance or in a trade(carpentry, electrical, drywall, etc.) with supervisory role.
•Excellent written and verbal skills.
•Knowledge of standard business and contracting practices.
•Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
•Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
•Position requires a background check.



Lodging Maintenance Technician

Summary:

Perform maintenance tasks in areas requested by the staff throughout CBMR managed properties such as guests' rooms, lobby, public areas and parking areas. Performs or assists with mechanical or electrical work within the rooms, public areas and pool/spa areas.

Maintenance Tech 1: Will have entry level knowledge of one of the following and an interest in learning from various tradesmen; painting, HVAC, wiring, basic carpentry, or plumbing.

Responsibilities:
•Receive training to operate and maintain pools, spas, and related equipment.
•Assists with guest complaints regarding stopped up toilets and stinks.
•Maintain building lighting systems such as incandescent and fluorescent lights, timers, emergency and special requests.
•Complete all maintenance tasks in a reasonable time period while adhering to all applicable trade practices.
•Perform/ assist with general carpentry repairs to drywall, ceiling, roof, and other areas such as furniture.
•Assist other engineers and maintenance departments as necessary.
•Respond to and investigate fire alarms and reports of vandalism and misuse of the facilities and call the appropriate manager.
•Complete proper documentation of all maintenance tasks performed.
•Perform all other related duties as assigned or requested; including obeying safety policies and procedures and attending safety trainings.

Job Requirements:
•High School Diploma or equivalent
•Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
•Willingness to learn proper/safe use of power tools, hand tools, and plumbing snakes.
•Preferred, but not required, general knowledge of basic wiring, plumbing, carpentry and electronics.
•Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
